If the water quality is suspected to be below par it is important to improve the water quality as the first stage in curing the problem, as this is the most common cause. You should also ensure that your fish receive enough vitamins by feeding with a high vitamin fish food. If bacterial infection is suspected then try a general cure-all treatment such as Parinox which includes antibacterial agents, alternatively tetracycline antobiotics may help. Flukes are the rarest cause of cloudy eye. If an eye fluke is the cause, treatment with Praziquantel is recommended or a consultation with a vet as infection with flukes can be one of the most difficult to eradicate.
